WHITELANDS COLLEGE, ROEHAMPTON UNIVERSITY
Major relocation : moves to fit in with building work
A major relocation of the college from Sutherland Grove, Putney, to their new college in a Grade II Listed Building at Holybourne Avenue. Due to delays in the completion of the building works much of the college had to be removed at the beginning of December 2004, including laboratories, chemicals and specialist equipment, and taken to a temporary store whilst the building was completed.
The remainder of the equipment which could be positioned within the refurbished building was moved out during the Christmas period, where clearance of the old college was on a strict deadline due to the handover of the building. The removals were carried out on schedule and in close liaison with the builders, filling areas as they were completed.
